Libri Ichinomicorum Aristotilis

Title

Libri Ichinomicorum Aristotilis

Description

The anonymous translation of the Economics is witnessed by a manuscript (Venice, BNM, It. II.134) in which the text appears as part of a compilation including a compendium of the Ethics (largely coinciding with Taddeo Alderotti's) and vernacular excerpts from the Secret of secrets. The three works are conceived here (and presented by the translator's prologue) as a whole. NB: the translator's prologue in the Venetian manuscript - which includes a short life of Aristotle - draws from Antonio Colombella's preface to his own translation of the Nicomachean Ethics offered to Pancrazio Giustiniani (ms. Modena, BEU, It. 279).
